We
invite you to rent our vacation house at the Costa Maya while we are
away (which is most of the year). The house is located in a tranquil
tropical paradise with the blue and turquoise Caribbean Sea in front
and the lush green Yucatan jungle in the back. While there, you can
enjoy activities like swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving,
fishing, bird watching or you can just relax…
Our two level 1000 sq. feet beachfront home features two bedrooms, a large kitchen, dining and living area and 2 bathrooms (warm water). On the seaside, a 150 sq. feet balcony shaded by a palm-thatched roof is attached to the house. Stairs from the balcony access a terrace on the roof (ideal for private tanning).
This house was designed to accommodate 5-6 adults. Additional bedding
can be set up and we allow camping in our beach area. In the kitchenette
you will find a propane cooktop with two burners, a large sink and
cabinets with the essential kitchen and dining ware. A solar-electric
system (12V DC) operates the water pump and lamps.
Located 8.6 km (5 mi) south of Mahahual (Majahual) on a 50,000 sq.
feet lot with many palm trees and about 200 feet private sand beach.
Caretaker lives in separate casita permanently on the property.

Bougainvilla is situated at 4 km south from Mahahual.
The villa consists of two self-contained apartments.
Upstairs: a living, one double bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and two terraces.
Downstairs: a living, two double bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and a terrace.
On the property - 140 m private front beach - a local family is accomodated.
They are caretakers and permanent guardians of the property.

Activities and Attractions
There is excellant snorkeling, kayaking and windsurfing right in
front of Sombra de la Luna. Snorkeling gear and kayaks are free for
guest to use.
Scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing trips are available from local businesses. Waverunner rentals in Mahahual. Mahahual is a stop for big cruise ships and you will find wonderful restaurants right on the beach and plenty of shopping!
Bird watching, dolphin watching, ruins, cenotes, Bacalar lake and so
much more. Relaxation!!

La
Cueva del Lobo is a Condo located 2kms South of Mahahual center. A
walking distance from restaurants and dive shops. It has 2 beachfront
apartments on the second floor. Each apartment has a queen bedroom,
living room (1 futon for 2 extra sleeping), tiled private bathroom
with hot water and a kitchenette with refrigerator and stove. They
both have a private balcony, where you can relax on a hammock watching
the beautiful Caribbean sea. Access to private beach with sun beds.
Breakfast is included. There is a terrace on the roof shaded by a palapa
. It is a ommon area where you can enjoy the exclusive views of the
sunrises and sunsets. A spacious 2 floor house facing the inside garden.
It has a king size bedroom on the second floor with tiled bathroom
On the ground floor there is a kitchen and a living area. This is a
very well suitable apartment for long term rental.

Looking to get away from it all?
Our Viva Zapatos villa is located 19 km south of Mahahual, just south of the Punta Heradura beach access road. Two separate fully tilled 1 bedroom units are on each floor, about 1100 square feet per floor. Our 16' x 16' bedrooms feature queen size bed with night stand. The 19' x 20' living room has futon sofa to accommodate a 3rd person at night. Each kitchen includes stove, refrigerator and sink. Washer and dryer are also available for your use. Our second floor palapa roofs allow both water side and jungle side vistas from their terraces; 1st floor water side terrace puts you that much closer
to the beach. plus dining room is slightly bigger. Tiled walkway on the north side of the house allows you acces to our outdoor shower. A full-time caretaker is on-site.
Just a few feet away, a gentle sloping beach allows access to grass-free, crystal clear Carribean water making for excellent swimming and snorkling. A beach side palapa should be ready soon.
This is presently an isolated stretch of the Carribean. If you rent both floors, expect to have the beach to yourselves.
Cuidados (cautions)
Cistern and a shallow well provide washing and bathing water. Please use sparingly. Solar panels with back-up generator supply electricity for the house. Again, use sparingly (hair dryers will disrupt the system).

Casa Playa Felipe Flores is a secluded
three bedroom beach house located on the beautiful Caribbean coast
of Mexico's
Yucatan peninsula. Eleven kilometers south of Mahahual on Costa Maya,
this recently built private home is utilized occasionally by the owners,
but is available for rent most times of the year on a weekly or monthly
basis.
If you enjoy the crowds and the bar scenes of Playa del Carmen and
Cancun, Casa Playa Felipe Flores is not for you. Away from the large
tourist groups, here you enjoy the quiet beaches the beautiful Caribbean
waters and breezes, palm trees, exotic birds, the stars, sunrises and
sunsets--natural beauty above and below the waterline.
The three bedrooms, each with its own bath, sleep nine. The master
bedroom on the second level has a queen bed. Two bedrooms are located
on the first level of the house. The first has two double beds; the
second bedroom has a single and a double bed. The house also has a
full kitchen. Enjoy eating outside on the second level veranda
or on the expansive first level porch, as well as inside. Two restaurants
are located nearby
and in Mahajual.
The environmentally conscious owners have installed solar energy and
use gas for cooking, hot water, and refrigeration. Beach maintenance
is included, as well as trash removal.
Diving, snorkeling, and fishing services are located nearby. Chinchorro
reef, the second largest in the world, is only one hour from Casa Playa
Felipe Flores (one kilometer) via a certified diving boat. The reef's
clear turquoise waters offer fabulous underwater viewing of sea life
and ship wrecks dating from the 17th century. Closer in, only 100 hundred
yards from the house, is a smaller reef to which one can swim or kayak.
